About

Our story:

Step Spring Leap Highland Dance Studio was founded in 2017 by owner Rhianna Rice in Lee's Summit, MO. Rhianna began the studio by teaching out of her church, Grace United Methodist. The studio has been open to dancers of all ages and dancing ability; from none at all to those with years of experience. Rhianna has been dancing her entire life -- quite literally. She began dancing as soon as she could walk, beginning with Welsh Folk dancing and adding Scottish Highland at the age of 6. Since age six, Rhianna has competed throughout the United States, performed throughout the midwest region, attended the prestigious Sadie Simpson North American Scholarships, and represented the Southwest region at the National Championship. Rhianna is passionate about dance and it shows in her teaching style.

From Heather

"I just want to tell you, you are an awesome dancer and maybe even better teacher! (Dancer) has progressed so much and came so far in such a short time. I'm really looking forward to see how far you can take her in the dance world. She's doing so well because you are her teacher and being her teacher takes so much patience and understanding, so thank you for everything!"
